Creator Space
Designed by young people for young people, the Creator Space provides a unique creative learning space that transports children and young people far from the conventions of regular learning environments, offering flexibility and fun whilst they imagine, design and create.
Through a series of creative architecture workshops, Year 8 students from Danesfield and Minehead Middle Schools worked alongside architects Pearce+Faegan and environmental psychologist Helen King, to imagine a space that maximises young people’s creativity. Themes of relaxation, inspiration, choice and the natural world integrate to form East Quay’s Creator Space.
Creator Space can be used by all age groups and has an adaptable layout and lighting design to fulfil a range of workshop applications. The fully colour changing lighting is by designer Dark Source.
