Join us for a Kitchen Conversation with Man in the Woods. Known on Instagram for his ‘Friday Walk’ and being featured in BBC’s Myth Country, Man in Woods creates work that tells the strange and compelling story of rural Britain.

Through his unique artistic practice, he creates artefacts that tell the strange and compelling story of rural Britain. In 2018, Man in the Woods began his Friday Walk — a slow, meandering journey through the English countryside that informs his artwork. One Friday, he set off on an 18km walk, stopped for a pint at a village pub, and took the bus home. The following Friday, he returned to that same pub and continued walking. Since then, whenever possible, he has taken a bus or train to his previous stopping point and carried on, weaving a path through fields, woods, and ancient green lanes. His walks are not about reaching summits or following famous trails but about moving gently through the landscape, uncovering its hidden layers, and immersing himself in its quiet rhythms.

This Kitchen Conversation will explore his artistic journey, the inspiration behind his work, and the stories he has gathered along the way.
