Tuesday 28th May
Giant Canvas Mark Making Workshop
11-1pm, all ages family workshop, FREE*
This is a messy, fun workshop exploring mark making and stenciling using acrylic paint. We will be painting onto giant pieces of canvas that will be made into colourful bunting ready to decorate our courtyard for the summer months. (Wear old clothes, aprons will be available to use)
Wednesday 29th May
Foil Fish Workshop
11-1pm, all ages family workshop, FREE*
Explore texture in this workshop with collaging different layers and papers to a fish shape, finish off your design with a foil finish and a squash through the printing press!
Thursday 30th May
Maritime Mobiles Workshop
11-1pm, all ages family workshop, FREE*
Have a go at mark-making using different materials and techniques to make lots of patterned papers. Using your patterned papers you will cut them into maritime shapes and sew them on the sewing machine to make a fabulous fishy mobile.
There are lots of free activities available throughout the weekend at East Quay, Watchet Boat Museum and on the Esplanade. Also a maritime-themed market on Sunday 2nd June on Watchet Esplanade.
Friday 31st May
Seaside Story Stones Workshop
2-5pm, all ages family workshop, FREE*
Kickstart our Maritime Mayhem weekend with this fun workshop of decorating pebbles. We will be using posca pens to add bright patterns and colours to pebbles. Bring your own pebbles to decorate plus your imagination and creativity.
Saturday 1st June
Pirate Hat & Parrot Making Workshop
11-1pm, all ages family workshop, FREE*
Come and make a fun pirate hat and a feathered friend to perch on your shoulder in this workshop in preparation for the Treasure Hunt and Pirate King screening at the Boat museum at 2pm
